This wildly imaginative film explores the possibilities of a world informed by autistic perspectives and perception.

A fascinating hybrid feature film, co-created by a collective of autistic artists, the Neurocultures Collective, and filmmaker Steven Eastwood, The Stimming Pool explores the possibilities of a world informed by autistic perspectives and perception. The film celebrates each individual’s creativity and authorship and invites audiences into a neurodiverse world within the often-challenging structures of neurotypical environments. This wildly imaginative film, shot on 16mm, shows how to represent neurodiversity on screen in a way that champions community, play and possibility. Screening with A Body Called Life, about a young human who delves into the hidden world of microscopic organisms.

"A heartfelt, poignant representation of a different view of the world. " -Vladan Petkovic, Cineuropa.

The screening on 7 Nov will be followed by a Q&A with director Steven Eastwood.
