Volunteer applications for 2025 are now open
Gain new skills, meet like-minded cinema fans and see incredible films for free by volunteering at INDIs Film Festival and Leeds Young Film Festival.
INDIs Film Festival runs from 4 - 8 March and is the North’s only festival created for 16-25-year-olds interested in cinema, filmmaking and the screen industries. The full programme for this year's festival will be announced soon!
Leeds Young Film Festival is an annual family-friendly celebration of cinema which includes screenings, workshops, VR and hands-on filmmaking activities to inspire young creative talent. This year's festival runs from 8 - 21 April.
VOLUNTEER ROLES
Venue Assistants
We're recruiting Venue Assistants to support the smooth running of festival screenings, workshops, events and the VR Cinema at Leeds Young Film Festival (LYFF) and INDIs Film Festival.
Responsibilities include ushering screenings and checking tickets, supervising screenings and events and the VR Cinema and reporting issues to festival staff. A love of film and strong customer service skills are essential!
Venues include Hyde Park Picture House, The Carriageworks, and Leeds City Museum.
Workshop Assistants
As a Workshop Assistant volunteer, you'll assist with Movie Club at Leeds Young Film Festival. Young film fans aged 8-13 can join this unique club to enjoy fantastic films and learn all about directing, sound design, VFX, and costume design with hands-on activities.
Responsibilities include assisting various industry professionals within workshops, engaging children in the activities, sign posting, giving out surveys, and reporting any issues to festival staff.
Movie Club will take place at The Carriageworks Theatre.
