Cinema on the Square is our summer open-air cinema in Millennium Square, where we celebrate the movies and music with a line-up of films that must be experienced on the concert stage screen.
Our first ever Cinema on the Square took place on Sunday 30 July 2023 and screened Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical, Stand By Me, Summer of Soul, and finishing with a rare screening of the musical Daft Punk anime, Interstella 5555.
Cinema on the Square returned for 2024 with a larger programme of films across several new collections including Classic Concerts, Family Films and Paris Stories - featuring the famous City of Light and its diverse depictions on screen. The three day event took place between 24 July - 26 July and finished with a Friday Finale of the instant summer cult hit, Barbie.
Part of the Summer Series, an annual series of outdoor gigs from world-renowned blockbuster acts and emerging artists.
