You’ll learn how to turn your passion into paid work and pick up essential professional skills in areas like VFX, prosthetics, and sound. Hear directly from the experts about how they got started, explore career paths in the screen industries, and connect with other young creatives like you.

Whether you’re studying film, working on projects in your spare time, or just starting to figure out your next steps, this is your chance to get real advice, hands-on experience, and a clearer idea of what’s possible.

Screen Journeys with Sam Judd: Independent filmmaker Sam Judd shares their journey through the screen industries, offering insights on resilience, career challenges, and how to carve out a path in film and TV. This keynote talk is an opportunity to gain advice, motivation, and industry perspective, followed by a Q&A.

* Sound in Film: Great sound can make or break a film. This practical workshop covers the essentials of recording and improving audio for your projects, from choosing the right microphone to capturing clear dialogue and minimising background noise.

* Visual Effects in Film: Discover how VFX tools are transforming the film industry in this practical, hands-on workshop. Learn more and explore the powerful world-building tools for your own projects.

INDIs Marketplace: Explore screen opportunities at the INDIs Marketplace, where industry professionals, education providers and creative organisations will be on hand to chat and offer advice.

PROVISION Equipment Workshop: Explore the latest industry-standard gear with Provision, one of the UK’s leading film equipment suppliers. Learn about their role in film and TV production and see new cameras and equipment in action

* Prosthetics & Special Effects: Learn how to create lifelike characters and creatures using makeup, special materials and everyday items. This hands-on workshop explores the art of prosthetics and practical effects for film.
