Tim Walker
Workshop Director
After art college, specialising in photography, Tim entered the music industry as a guitarist in a rock band. He then trained as a live sound engineer before opening his own studio in the late 1980s. After several UK chart positions, celebrity clients, great reviews and even awards, the studio is still going strong. A move into music video saw Tim direct his first shoot in 2008. After many more music videos and corporate shoots, Tim got together with colleagues to make short films, where he mostly acted as sound recordist and editor. He briefly had a crash course in location sound on the set of Peaky Blinders in 2017.
Following Screen Yorkshire's 'Bootcamp' course in 2018, Tim's next short 'Support Group' made it into seven film festivals and was highly acclaimed. He was then accepted on to Screen Yorkshire's 'Next Level Mentoring Scheme' and now works freelance on Screen Yorkshire's Connected Campus and Beyond Brontes projects.
