The full programme for INDIs Film Fest 2025 is now online
The INDIs Film Festival returns in March 2025, bringing together young film fans, emerging filmmakers and industry professionals for a programme of screenings, workshops and immersive experiences. In collaboration with multiple partners across Leeds and Bradford, the festival is here to celebrate bold storytelling and new talent. The full programme is now online and tickets are available to book now.
Alongside industry events, the film programme will feature an exciting selection of debut features and bold new voices in independent cinema with screenings in collaboration with Pictureville Cinema in Bradford and Leeds Industrial Museum. These screenings celebrate first-time directors and fresh perspectives, offering inspiration to the next generation of filmmakers.
We'll also be at Hyde Park Picture House for the INDIs Filmmaker Day, a dedicated space for emerging filmmakers to develop their craft, connect with industry experts and showcase their work. The day includes the INDIs Awards, featuring short films from young filmmakers with live feedback from our panel of industry experts.
This year we're also introducing our new Career Kickstarter Days, a two-day programme in partnership with Screen Yorkshire, aimed at young creatives aged (16-25). These sessions offer hands-on workshops, industry talks and networking opportunities, providing practical advice on taking the first steps into film and TV.
The festival also explores the cutting edge of storytelling with Kindred, a powerful animated VR film about the first non-binary trans person to adopt a child in the UK. This immersive experience invites audiences to step inside the emotional journey of Syd and their child, Ollie, highlighting the transformative power of VR in cinema.
Whether you're looking to discover fresh new films, develop your filmmaking skills or connect with industry professionals, the INDIs Film Festival 2025 has something for you. With a packed programme of screenings, workshops and immersive experiences, it’s a chance to celebrate fresh talent and explore the future of cinema.
