Leeds Young Film VR cinema returns to Breeze in the Park
Embark on an underwater adventure where you can ride a jellyfish, encounter a leatherback turtle, and come face-to-face with a whale shark with Leeds Young Film Festival and Breeze in the Park, this summer. Leeds Young Film Festival (LYFF) is returning to Breeze in the Park with a new VR experience for young people aged 7+.
Drop in the Ocean is an interactive and social VR experience that puts you in the role as a tiny plankton. Plunged into the ocean, you must explore the ocean's depths and discover more about the issues effecting it and the urgent need for marine conservation. The 10-minute experience is crafted from the photo archive of Academy Award-winning micro-photographer Peter Parks, with narration by explorers Philippe and Ashlan Cousteau and music by Gold Panda.
Breeze in the Park is a touring summer event for families and young people that combines sun, fun, arts and thrills across Leeds. Just join us in our dedicated VR tent to try the experience yourself, it's free and entry to Breeze in the Park is just 50p per child. Breeze in the Park runs 24 July - 31 August. LYF VR Cinema is touring all of the dates at Breeze in the Park.
Leeds Young Film VR Cinema is bringing more screen content to children and young people, with the support of funding from the BFI National Lottery Audience Projects Fund.
