Leeds Young Film Festival (LYFF) is taking its vibrant collection of short family-friendly films on the road, offering an exciting lineup perfect for sparking young imaginations. This tour will feature an array of nature, animal, and science-themed short films specifically curated for children. The first tour screenings will take place at fantastic venues such as like Eureka! The National Children's Museum in Halifax and Wallasey, The Carriageworks Theatre in Leeds, and Breeze Summer Camps.

There are more programmes planned including Halloween and Christmas shorts to be announced closer to the event dates.

As part of LYFF on Tour, we are seeking short film submissions suitable for children and families, ideally rated U or equivalent. Categories include general short films alongside Halloween and Christmas-themed shorts. Find out more about submitting to LYFF on Tour.

As we get ready to start the new tour, we are still looking for more new partners to collaborate with. From youth and art organizations and children clubs to family venues and community centres - if you’d like to chat about being part of LYFF on Tour, please get in touch at leeds.film@leeds.gov.uk.

This tour is part of the year-round programme for Leeds Young Film Festival, bringing you award-winning family cinema and hands-on filmmaking experiences for young people.
