Paul King, the director and co-writer of the Paddington films breathes life into another whimsical world in this prequel to Roald Dahls’ beloved story. Willy Wonka is an eccentric young chocolatier filled with creativity, ambition and a touch of magic. He arrives in a new town with dreams of opening his first chocolate shop but he must first find a way to overcome a cartel of greedy chocolatiers, a corrupt policeman and the mean Mrs. Scrubitte. Teaming up with orphans, misfits and a renegade Oompa - Loompa (played by Hugh Grant) Wonka will soon discover that it’s not the chocolate that matters, but the people you share it with. For new and old fans alike, this vibrant exploration of Wonka's story will be sure to sweeten the most savoury of palettes.
