Heimat Afternoon

The University of Leeds, Opera North and the Film Festival present an afternoon of talk and discussion about Edgar Reitz’s classic TV films Heimat. Between screenings of two of the best episodes, there will be a series of talks on the films, reflecting on representations of history and German-ness, contemporary German film, cinematic space, music and film, the rise of radical modernism and adaptation.
